“My daughter Maura is in the first grade at Jahn World Language School in Chicago. She loved your program this year. She was tickled to see Joshua at Whole Foods on a weekend visit. The entire year she looked forward to Purple Asparagus visits. Maura is a super healthy eater with a curiosity to try anything new. We wanted to share this picture which capped the year off and made her feel a little better about the program ending.”

“It was so sour at first I didn’t like it, but I tried it and it was so good,” Cadarion, Age 5

“It was exciting to see our kids taste and love unusual fruits and vegetables. At first we had our reservations, thinking they might not be willing to try these foods, but were we wrong! Many times students finished the samples and asked for seconds.” Galileo Elementary First Grade Teachers

“One of the things I really love about the program is how Purple Asparagus goes back month after month to the same children,” said Volunteer Susan Stearn“There’s a repetition and a rhythm throughout the school year, so the kids really develop a familiarity and build upon the curriculum with each new visit.”
